Children's Dentistry

Having a dentist where the entire family can be treated in the same office is both convenient and reassuring for children.  The most common chronic childhood disease in America is tooth decay.  We encourage parents to bring their children in as early as their first tooth erupts to start a lifetime of good dental habits.  The best way to prevent tooth decay in children is through regular visits to the dentist and parent-supervised homecare.  Sealants are advised for permanent molars to prevent those deep grooves on the chewing surface from decaying.   Our office is trained to make your child feel as comfortable as possible.  We love our younger patients and most of them look forward to their visits.  Typically, children of all ages will have a better experience without a parent present in the treatment room. We will, however, ask the parent back to discuss our findings and review the treatment provided at the end of the appointment.  Finally, if you expect your child to do well during their visit, they usually will do just that!
