While the Hruska Clinic leads the evaluation and treatment process, our role is to create and fit the custom oral appliance that becomes part of your personalized care plan.
What Is a Postural Oral Appliance?
A postural oral appliance is a custom-made device that fits over your teeth. Unlike a traditional night guard, it is designed for a specific purpose as part of the Hruska Clinic’s treatment approach.
Each appliance is fabricated individually to the specifications provided in your treatment plan. Once it’s ready, we’ll design it to fit comfortably.
Types of Postural Oral Appliances
The most common appliances provided through the PRIME Program include:
PRI MOOO™ (Mandibular Occipital Occlusal Orthotic)
PRI MMOO™ (Mandibular Molar Occlusal Orthotic)
Your Hruska Clinic provider will determine which type is recommended for you as part of your overall treatment plan.

Our team will:
- Take the records needed to fabricate your appliance
- Create your custom postural oral appliance
- Design the appliance to fit comfortably and function as intended
- Provide follow-up adjustments if needed
We’ll communicate with the Hruska Clinic throughout the process to help keep your care moving smoothly.
Who Is This For?
Postural appliance therapy is for individuals who have completed an evaluation through the Hruska Clinic PRIME Program, and were recommended a custom dental appliance as part of their PRIME treatment plan.
What to Expect
Your personal journey through the PRIME Program begins at the Hruska Clinic, who oversees your overall treatment plan. Smile Innovations Dentistry provides the custom oral appliance portion of your care.
Step 1: Evaluation
You’ll complete a comprehensive evaluation through the Hruska Clinic to determine whether the PRIME Program and a postural oral appliance are right for you.
Step 2: Dental Records
Our team will take dental impressions and bite records needed to fabricate your custom oral appliance.
Step 3: Custom Appliance Delivery
Once your appliance is ready, we’ll schedule your fitting, test your appliance in our clinic, and make any needed adjustments so it fits comfortably and supports your PRIME treatment plan.
Step 4: Ongoing Care
After receiving your appliance, you’ll continue working with your Hruska Clinic providers and receive guidance on using your appliance as part of your personalized treatment plan.
